India Is Functioning Without A Leader: Azim Premji

Chairman of Wipro, Azim Premji expressing his concern on the current political scenario at the Centre said, “We are working without a leader as a country. If we do not change, we would be down for years.”

The Financial Express noted his observations on the country’s economy. Earlier he had warned that the country would face a set back if the “complete absence of decision-making among the leaders in the government” is not addressed.

However, he added that the IT industry would deliver growth of about 13% for FY13.

 

Economy Will Revive: P Chidambaram

Finance Minister P Chidambaram showed his confidence that the Indian economy would get out of the current downturn and return to high growth trajectory, Times of India reported recently.

Responding to Time Magazine’s query on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as an “underachiever”, Chidambaram said, "We are confident that we will get out of the trough, and we will get back to high growth."
