Bangalore: The economy of India is the 10th largest in the world. It has the 3rd largest purchasing power and is the member of BRICS.
Deutsche Bank conducted a survey across 57 countries on how India is a cheaper place to live in which they named it as 'Mapping the World's Prices 2013' where they have listed some common disparities.
Buying 1 kg loaf of bread has risen to 51 percent from past 10 years in India, which is now 
46. Incase if you will have to buy the same quantity of bread in Tokyo and Paris, you'll have to pay Rs 480 to 490.
Though cigarettes Smoking is killing 9, 00,000 people every year in India. A pack of Marlboro cigarettes in India costs 113, but the same pack of cigarette in Melbourne or New York will cost 930 and 665 which is 6 to 10 times expensive compare to India.
Fast food outlet Mc Donald, charges 490 per burger in Venezuela, while in India it costs 90-110. A pizza at ‘Pizza Hut’ costs 583, but the Kiwis spend 444 while the Canadians get the same for 1260.
