HDFC Bank Launches Next-Gen Mobile Banking App


Banking transactions involve sensitive data handling and with growing reach of online transactions, banking sector is highly leveraging technological integration for enhanced user experience. Trailing the similar path, HDFC Bank unveils its next-gen mobile banking app that offers an effortless bank account access to users? on-the-go and allows them to bank the way they live. Equipped with simple, intuitive navigation and features such as biometric log in for enhanced security and access, this next-gen app eliminates financial and technical jargon by grouping transactions into three categories ? Pay, Save, and Invest, and avails dashboard viewing option with 360 degree financial snapshot of all assets and liabilities with the bank.

The 120+ transactions available on the app have been carefully selected based on an intensive study of existing navigation and usage patterns coupled with customer research and feedback. Notification on bill and utilities payments, simpler terminology for all transactions including Transfer Money instead of Fund Transfer, smart and intuitive technology for intelligent selection between NEFT/IMPS or RTGS depending on transaction size and timing, customized profile pictures and personalised notifications & display are some of the next-gen features that the app offers.

Launched at the Bank?s annual Digital Innovation Summit 2018 (DIS) in New Delhi, the next-gen app is testament to the bank?s continued focus for harnessing cutting edge technologies for potential application and enhanced customer experience. Also, the bank leverages DIS for next-gen app?s collaboration with past winners such as BugClipper and Senseforth, which are included as collaborative features on the app.
