Davos 2013: Global Leaders to Beat the Odds at WEF
The climate changes are believed to cause about 5 million deaths per year and the global economy undergoes a loss of about $ 1.2 trillion.
The reports issued by the Climate Change Initiatives also says, "By 2030, the cost of climate change and air pollution combined is estimated to rise to 3.2 per cent of global GDP, with the world's least-developed countries expected to bear the brunt, suffering losses of up to 11 per cent of their GDP,".
After the governments agreed to curve out a new U.N. pact to limit climate change that would enter into force from 2020, a science journal said that it will be easier to keep global warming within the agreed limit of U.N. than waiting till 2020.
The reports commissioned by WEF have shown some positive and hopeful indications about the global investment in renewable energies with all the hopes to have a better economic and an eco-friendly planet.
All the delegates in this meet are hopeful on the strategies made by the WEF.
