Davos 2013: Global Leaders to Beat the Odds at WEF
In this 43rd annual meet, emphasis has been laid to discuss about the environment. Global warming, Greenhouse Effect and other natural disasters like flood, wind, cyclones and the affected areas will be given a close priority in this meet.
A study by the WEF states that the world must spend a booming figure of $ 700 billion in a year to overcome its addiction to fuels. The extracting of more amounts of fuels from inside a Earth is rising up the natural calamities like floods, global warming, the rising of the sea level. This is also increasing the emission of the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
WEF also made a list about which country should pay more on the basis of the greenhouse gases emitted by them. The country with lesser amount of greenhouse gases has to pay less and vice versa.
The estimated amount by WEF will be used in promoting eco-friendly sources of energies. These sources include wind, solar, hydro powers.
