HCLTech Ltd has been selected as a strategic technology partner by ASN Bank, the fourth-largest retail bank in the Netherlands, formerly known as de Volksbank. The partnership supports ASN Bank’s new strategy, 'Simplify and Grow', which aims to modernize and standardize its IT architecture while consolidating technology services.
Under the multi-year agreement, HCLTech will manage ASN Bank’s enterprise applications and streamline IT services through a distributed delivery model. The collaboration is designed to enhance operational efficiency, improve system scalability, and deliver a better customer experience across the bank’s digital platforms.
Michel Ruijterman, Chief Information Officer of ASN Bank, highlighted that the partnership would help the bank simplify its business by reducing existing product complexity and aligning core processes under the new strategic framework. He emphasized HCLTech’s strong track record in providing scalable, innovative solutions for the financial sector as a key factor in the decision.
Sudip Lahiri, Executive Vice President and Head of Financial Services for Europe at HCLTech, said the collaboration merges HCLTech’s engineering-driven approach and domain expertise with ASN Bank’s strategic goals. He added that the partnership is expected to create long-term value and strengthen HCLTech’s presence in the Dutch banking and financial services market.
