Apollo Tyres Streamlines Product Development with CONTACT Elements
CONTACT Elements has been chosen as the primary platform for product development and testing by Apollo Tyres Ltd. The low-code solution will be optimized to enhance the company's R&D processes, encourage better global collaboration, and support its sustainability goals, such as increasing the use of sustainable raw materials to 40% by 2030.
By providing a strong, centralized base for LIMS, constructed on top of CONTACT Software's CIM Database PLM, this will further advance the approach of using data in developing solutions at Apollo. The LIMS will manage specifications and tests with easy distribution for raw materials, including the finished tyre product and, additionally improve analysis for test results. It also removes the need for manual tasks as well as minimizes any possibility of errors and gets the product development cycle of a new tyre done speedily, which currently takes an average of three years.
CONTACT’s solution includes features like document and Bill of Materials management, automated ERP integration, and cross-department workflows that enhance efficiency. The platform will first roll out in Apollo’s R&D centres in Chennai, India, and Enschede, Netherlands, harmonising operations across both locations.
With over 19,000 employees and $3.1 billion in revenue, Apollo Tyres continues to innovate, developing high-performance tyres under the Apollo and Vredestein brands for various vehicles worldwide.
