Amazon India Intends to Amalgamate its Pantry & Fresh Services

Amazon is all set to merge its 'Pantry' and 'Fresh' services in India. This measure is taken to improvise the grocery shopping experience to its customers.

The brand is intending to provide this service for customers in Bengaluru, Delhi, Ahmedabad, and Mysore over the next two weeks and other cities where Fresh is serving in the coming months. While in the remaining 290 cities, customers would still be able to shop for dry grocery selection on Amazon Pantry alone.

Siddharth Nambiar, Director (Category Management), Amazon India, said, “Customers love the two-hour convenience of Fresh for daily grocery and unmatched Pantry savings when they shop for dry grocery. We are excited to integrate these services in a single online grocery store thus allowing customers to enjoy unmatched convenience and value.”

The new integrated online store, would enable the customers to shop for a wide range of selection, that includes fruits and vegetables, frozen and chilled products such as dairy and meats, dry grocery items, beauty, baby, personal care, and pet products, also has  the convenience of two-hour delivery slots from 6 am to midnight.

Amazon Fresh will now be providing customer a supermarket selection alongside hundreds of Pantry deals from sellers, including super-value packs.

The company also adds that there will be no minimum order value for customers shopping at the new integrated Fresh store. For its two-hour express delivery service, orders of 600 and above will be delivered with no delivery charges while those under 600 will have a delivery charge of 29.
