Adobe India eyeing banks and retail business to force expansion: Prativa Mohapatra, VP

Adobe India will focus to bet on large banks, retail companies, and large organizations further to augment its expansion, the company’s vice president and managing director Prativa Mohapatra said. “Our next big bets are in the large banks, retails companies, and large organizations where, through multiple acquisitions, we have built the entire capabilities around what we call digital marketing, customer centricity, and personalization at scale,” Mohapatra said in an exclusive interaction.

Companies in India and across the globe are looking at Adobe as a “strategic digital partner” instead of focusing on growth at any cost, she said, adding that there is also increased demand for “real-time” analytics of customer behavior. Adobe, using its underlying artificial intelligence solution called Sensei, is solving a lot of these problems for its customers, she said.

“You expect a system to understand on its own, to recognize patterns. A customer wants to know why they have to repeat the same answers. Sensei is powering all that product development and our focus on AI will continue to drive our products,” Mohapatra said. In India, companies in the banking space, travel, and hospitality have continued to see growth in the post-pandemic time with each of these sectors asking for a more personalized experience for their users, she said.
