What Does Amazon and Future Retail Together Bring to Customers?

Amazon India ventures into a long-term business agreement with Future Retail stores to serve as its online sales channel. Future Retail stores intend to expand their reach and consumer brands through the Amazon India marketplace. This agreement would build on the robust offline and online capabilities of both the companies generating considerable value for the customers.

In terms with the agreement, Amazon would turn as an official online sales channel for the Future Retail stores. In addition, relevant Future Retail stores would actively participate in the Amazon India marketplace and its programs. This brings the opportunity of physical and digital channel experience of a wide range of food, FMCG, fashion, footwear and homeware categories seamlessly to the customers.

Furthermore, Future Retail stores would list on the Amazon Prime Now program. This would allow the customers to get food, grocery, and general merchandise delivery within two hours in Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. Also, Future Retail stores would soon list stores like Big Bazaar and Food hall across more cities on the Amazon India marketplace.

Both the companies signed two agreements with the focus set on key categories namely Grocery & General merchandise and Fashion & Footwear. Grocery and general merchandise would focus on grocery, general merchandise and beauty categories, while, fashion and footwear focuses on fashion, apparel, footwear, jewellery, watches, luggage, travel gear, perfumes, eyewear and other related accessories and categories

The Future Retail stores would increase its existing store-infrastructure at its retail outlets for facilitating seamless packaging and pickups of products ordered online. Both the companies have already launched this service across 22 stores and has received a positive response, and both the companies are planning to roll this out across the entire Future Retails stores chain based on agreed timelines.
