Heather Bresch grew up around politics. Her father, Joe Manchin, is the Democratic Senator from West Virginia and a former governor. Bresch is the CEO of Mylan, a Pittsburgh-based pharmaceutical corporation that describes itself as the third largest generics and specialty pharmaceutical company in the world.

Under Ms. Bresch's leadership, Mylan has continued to expand, earning a global leader in injectable products and a new respiratory technology platform, partnering on portfolios of biologic and insulin products, entering new commercial markets and expanding its leadership in the treatment of HIV, AIDS.
