The Most Advanced Arm-Producing Companies in the World

BENGALURU: Weapons sales is one of the biggest businesses which is in great demand. Especially for countries like the U.S. and Russia, who are the major weapon manufacturers in the world. Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) has compiled a list of the biggest weapons companies in the world. The list does not name China in it due to lack of transparency in their arms sales.

American companies dominate the list and Lockheed Martin, which makes some of the most ambitious weapons projects in history, is at the top. Here's a list of the top 10 arms-producing and military services companies in the world as of 2013, as mentioned in the Business Insider:

Thales: France: Thales is a multinational company that designs best electrical systems and provides services for aerospace and defense markets. Thales made as much as $18, 850 million in 2013 exclusively from arms sales.

The company is largely present in UK and other subsidiary countries like Australia, South Africa, Germany among many others. And Business Insider says that arms sales cover 55 percent of the net sales of the company.
