WekalO has designated Shailesh Manjrekar as Head of AI and Strategic Alliances. He has vast experience in managing and making emerging businesses across Asia, USA, and EMEA.

FREMONT, CA: The company which offers the world’s fastest shared parallel file system and is a leader in high-performance, scalable file storage for data-intensive applications, WekaIO has appointed Shailesh Manjrekar as Head of AI and Strategic Alliances.

Before joining the company, he was working for a leading provider of data storage and management solutions for data-driven customers, SwiftStack as Head of AI, responsible for Product, Solutions, and Corporate Development. 

Manjrekar has vast experience in managing and making emerging businesses across Asia, USA, and EMEA, and that is why he is considered as a seasoned IT professional. He has experience of over two decades in spanning AI and Deep Learning, Enterprise Business applications, Cloud Native applications, and Intent-Based Networking. He also has an established background in providing effective product management, solutions marketing, and strategic alliances, along with a strong sense of business development vision and leadership to his new position. 

Here in WekalO, he will handle strategic technical alliances of the company, aligning Weka’s product roadmap and validating the software on critical platforms in our target markets and use cases, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), genomics, finance, and high-performance computing (HPC). In addition, he will play a vital role in the leadership team in strategic and corporate planning.

Manjrekar pursued an MBA from San Jose State, College of Business, Certification in Mastering Project Management from Haas School of Business, UC Berkley. He also earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
