Which NBFCs Are Authorized To Raise Deposits?

There are around 257 Non-Banking Finance Companies that are authorized to raise deposits. The list of these NBFCs is provided in the Reserve Bank of India’s website. One is suggested to check the details before making any kind of investment as it is always better to be sure rather then regretting later.

Deposits Are Not Collective Investment Schemes

Many of you must be unaware of the fact that collective investment schemes are not treated as deposits. Collective investment schemes are schemes that involve accumulating money from various investors and then combining all the money collected to fund the investment. At times companies raise money before hand for providing goods or services at a future date. Collective investment schemes are regulated by The Securities & Exchange Board of India.
