BANGALORE: Online industry is on a full boom; swinging merrily on profits and expansion into the business industry and getting noticed on top.

Though online shopping took a back seat earlier, the growing technology is attracting the top-notch professionals from various big companies having about decades of experience and expertise.

For Country's top e-tailers like Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal, Myntra and Jabong, the FMCG and telecom industries are the favorite hunting grounds. Let us have a look at the top officials who migrated to the e-retail industry, according to The Economic Times.

EARLIER ROLE: Regional Chief Financial Officer (Anglophone) at Bharti Airtel International (Netherland) B.V, Nairobi, Africa.

Joined Flipkart in July 2014

SALARY: Approx. 1 crore

"Starting 1995-96, telecom changed our lives. Ecommerce is now the next big thing," said Rajnish Baweja a chartered accountant with more than 20 years of experience in finance.

"My first task here is to firm up the organizational design (in finance) for the next four to five years and establish strong processes," said Baweja. Initially Baweja was into merchant banking and in 1997, joined Spice Telecom in Chandigarh.

After spending five years with Spice, he joined Airtel in Chandigarh. He helped Airtel launch its operations in Punjab and Haryana in his multiple roles at the organization.
