O.C. Tanner Takes Charge of Kwench; to Improve its India Presence

Indian-based company that provides cutting-edge, easy-to-use corporate recognition solutions, Kwench has been acquired by O.C. Tanner, an international leader in employee recognition and workplace culture. O.C Tanner’s worldwide footprint and Kwench’s software-as-a-service (SaaS) technology platforms will work together to boost the value to the clients.

Speaking about the acquisition, Dave Petersen, CEO, O.C.Tanner, says, “We’ve enjoyed tremendous success with our O.C. Tanner India team, and the addition of the Kwench team and technology will combine the strengths of two market leaders to help us better serve our collective client base. While we’ve largely focused on multinational clients, the Kwench focus has been primarily on companies headquartered in India, so this acquisition will fuel even greater growth.  We measure progress and success by how many employees and workplaces we can positively impact through our recognition programs and strategies – and we are very excited to welcome the Kwench team into our global organization”.

With their headquarters at Mumbai and an office location at Hyderabad, O.C. Tanner’s existing presence will be deepened in India with the acquisition with Kwench. Employees need to be held in high esteem by their peers in order to get motivated. Employee Recognition can even be a simple ‘thank you’ email or a friendly greeting at work. It improves employee retention, cultivate a culture of self-improvement, boost morale, makes employees happier and more.

“We are truly excited to join the O.C. Tanner family and see it as a perfect meeting of minds, culture and aspirations. It is indeed a validation of India’s market potential and Kwench’s capabilities that the world’s largest recognition company has chosen to make this acquisition”, adds, Sunder Nookala, CEO, Kwench.

Founded in 1927, O.C Tanner’s cloud based technologies, tool and awards powers a meaningful recognition for their employees and its culture cloud is a suite of apps and solutions, including recognition, service awards, wellbeing, leadership and celebrations.
