4. Kumar Mangalam Birla
Company: Aditya Birla Group

In 1995, Kumar Mangalam Birla took over as the chairman of Aditya Birla Group after his father’s death. K.M. Birla was just 28 when he took up the chairmanship of the company.

Many thought that he would not be able to raise the company which has various sectors like textile and garments, cement, aluminum and fertilizers. But Birla has not only proved their thoughts wrong but also has made it to the list of most successful businessmen in India.

Back in 1995, the turnover of the company was just $2 bn but today the total revenue is U.S. $40 billion.

5. Chanda D Kochhar
Company: ICICI Bank

Chanda Kochhar is the CEO and managing director of ICICI Bank, one of the largest banking sectors in India.

Kochhar started her career with ICICI in 1980s when she used to manage Project Appraisal and Monitoring and projects in industries like Textile, Paper and Cement. Her sheer hard work elevated her position to the board of directors for the company in 2001.
