Bangalore: These women have managed to think out of the box and showed tremendous leadership qualities. Some founded their own companies, while some took up prestigious roles in family owned business and a few took up the executive ladder. They all played an important role in India’s economic crisis. Vinita Bali

Vinita Bali is an Indian business person who is presently the Managing Director of Britannia Industries Limited. She started off her career at Voltas, where is worked on the launch of a soft drink named Rasna. She worked for Cadbury for 14 years, followed by Coca Cola as the Marketing Director. She took up the position of CEO at Indian food company Britannia Industries where she was eventually appointed Managing Director in 2006. During her leadership Britannia's revenue tripled to $841 million. She was awarded the "Business Woman of the Year" Award at the 2009 Economic Times Awards. She won a Corporate Social Responsibility Award for her work with the foundation. In 2011 Forbes named her on its list of "Asia's 50 Power Businesswomen.”
