Jumboking Goes Hi-tech To Ramp Up Stores



Mumbai Quick service restaurant chain Jumboking said it has adopted modern high technologies, the same standards of the global giants like McDonalds, Pizza Hut and KFC, to ramp up its stores.


Set up in 2001, Jumboking is the first Indian brand to modernise vada pav. It has established a franchising programme around it.


The company said it has sold 100 millionth vada pav and is taking a series of measures to improve customer experience.


“We have ramped up our supply chain to open about 65 to 70 additional stores in financial year 2013-14,” said Dheeraj Gupta, founder-MD, Jumboking.


“Jumboking is present now in 12 cities - Mumbai, Thane, Bangalore, Aurangabad, Mysore, Delhi, Gurgaon, Amravati, Indore, Raipur and Pune, Lucknow - and we are grateful to our customers for helping us cross the 100 millionth mark,” Gupta said.


He said Jumboking uses the same technology used by reputed international chains like McDonalds, Pizza Hut and KFC, at is back-end.
