Indian Inc Gets Women At The Top Positions


BENGALURU: In this modern era, where men and women are equally contributing at each and every level in the organization, women are still missing in the top of the spheres. It has been well chronicled over the years, that the Indian Inc. was having extremely low representation of women at the senior management level.

It’s high time for Indian companies to appoint females and join them into their boards. The market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India has asked all the Indian companies to name one female director in February 2014. Since, SEBI has set a deadline of 1st April; companies are engaged in elevating and promoting them on their boards.

According to the research done by the newindianexpress.com, many of the India’s wealthiest companies are setting up strategies for applying the SEBI’s new law. They have started appointing women who are related to the promoter groups.
