5 Reasons Why There Won't Be A 'Made In India' iPhone In Near Future


BANGALORE: It was great news for Apple fans in India, when they heard that Apple will be setting up a manufacturing plant here.  Apple setting their camp in India means iPhones, iPads and other Apple products will be available at a lower price, than they are available now and in future there will be no need of importing the gadgets through friends or unlocking it. This ‘Apple in India’ news acted as a boost to the ‘Make in India’ campaign strengthening it further and the news seemed believable because of India’s present stature. At present Indian market is the burgeoning bee-hive that is attracting investors to reap the unlimited benefits.

But going to the facts that whether there was any official news of this settlement from Apple, then the answer is no, because the news is not true as it is. The news originated when Maharashtra’s Industry Minister Subhash Desai invited Foxconn (Taiwanese Smartphone Maker) to set up their base in India. So the news is just an aspiring thought on the part of the minister.

Here are the reasons why Apple or Foxconn will not be setting up their unit in India in the near future, reports Indian Express.
