Ease Of Doing Business: Pakistan Ranks Ahead Of India In 2014

Bhutan:

The land which is to the east of India and has been having turmoil for quite a while now is ranked at 125, which is above both India and Pakistan. Though the economy is at under developed stage, the country is still at a higher place in ease of doing business because of their liberal reforms to set up business.

Maldives:

This beautiful Island country in the Indian Ocean has an illustrious economy that is better than Nepal and Bhutan. It is ranked 116 on the list released by World Bank. Though the country is small, the business reforms give companies the ease to settle and set up a business. Permissions are easy to get and don’t require long channels of official approvals.

Pakistan:

The one country that is always compared with India, Pakistan ranked 129 on the list, meaning they are more liberal with business set-ups than India. The country doesn’t have too many reforms on business nor do they have to get various unnecessary approvals from the government.

It is not without a say that India is changing, but the country cannot continue in the manner it did for the last sixty years. This is exactly what the Modi government is trying to change and hopefully they succeed in this mishap. It is also a need to point out that the drop in ranks is not because of the formation of the new government but because of the lack of flexibility in India’s ease at doing business.

It is a dream for everyone to see that India rise in the ranks under the present government and have a business friendly environment, where there are not many approvals and above all there be less corruption.
