However, among the many gift items rich people like to present, the most popular in the list is gifting of diamond and gold jewelry. In 2013, there were about 42.6 percent of Indians who preferred this gift item.

During special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries, many Indians like to present their friends and immediate family from expensive branded apparels to household items.

However, these items are not less costly; their prices would usually range from lakhs to several crores.

About 15.5 percent of cash rich Indians like to gift apparels and gift vouchers of electronic and other house hold items to their loved ones.
