# Arundhati Bhattacharya: Arundhati Bhattacharya heads India’s one of the largest Bank in 2013 by becoming first women chief of State Bank of India Joining it in 1977, she served as a direct recruit officer and also worked in several urban and rural parts of India. Bhattacharya handled large corporate initiatives like financing self-help groups and crucial decisions of financial inclusion, as a corporate development officer and deputy managing director. Possessing a degree in Master of Arts, and Bachelor of Arts/Science from Jadavpur University, she takes charge of the bank at the crucial time; when the bank is battling issues related to loan. Her major challenge will be to improve bank’s deteriorating asset quality.
# Chanda Kochhar : Chanda Kochhar, has held various positions ranging from the Joint Managing Director, Chief Financial Officer and the official spokesperson of ICICI. Currently she serves the bank as its CEO and MD. Chanda Kochhar joined the bank in 1984 as a management trainee after completing MBA from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies. She went on to become the Deputy Managing Director in 2006. During this period, she successfully led the bank’s corporate and international banking businesses and during the critical period of rapid change in the global financial situation.
