In 1966 at the age of 21 he dropped out from Stanford University after the death of his father in order to take care of the company. Then the company was called Western Indian Vegetable Products and was manufacturing oil and soap.

 In 1980s the aspiring entrepreneur changed the company name to Wipro and entered into the high-technology sector by manufacturing minicomputers joining hands with an American company Sentinel. Thus he shifted his focus from soaps to software. His net worth as of June 2015 is estimated to be $16.3 billion.

The co-founder and CEO of facebook is one among the world’s youngest self made billionaires. He developed an interest in computers and software at the very young age of 12. He used Atari BASIC to create a messaging program; he named "Zucknet." His father used the program in his dental office, so that the receptionist could inform him of a new patient without yelling across the room. By the time he began classes at Harvard, Zuckerberg had already achieved a "reputation as a programming prodigy". Zuckerberg launched Facebook from his Harvard dormitory room on February 4, 2004.
