2016's World's Top 10 Reputed Companies

BENGALURU: Luxury watch brand Rolex superseded BMW as the world’s most reputable company for year 2016, according to the Reputation Institute's (RI) annual rankings. BMW has fell to fourth place, behind Walt Disney Company and Google.

RI sorts companies according to the public's perception of their performance critically in seven major areas: products and services, innovation, workplace, governance, citizenship, leadership, and performance.

Rolex (RepTrak points: 78.4)

Rolex is a universe of its own: respected; admired; valued; and known across the globe. This year Rolex has captured the respect of global consumers in a list of internationally recognized companies. Luxury watch brands have suffered over the past year, after facing a declining market in China.

Headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, the luxury wristwatches brand was founded in London in 1905 and relies on 4,000 watchmakers in more than 100 countries. It created the world's first waterproof watch in 1926.
