7. Bank Executive Becoming Bold

In 2006, a New York regulator released explosive accusations against a U.K. based bank Standard Chartered blaming it of facilitating billions of dollars in transaction for Iran, which is currently under U.S. sanctions.

According to the regulator’s complaint, Richard Meddings, the bank’s then Finance Director (as reported by New York Post), allegedly said:  “You f—ing Americans. Who are you to tell us, the rest of the world, that we’re not going to deal with Iranians?”
