12th American Business Corner Set Up

Mohali: India’s 12th American Business Corner (ABC) was launched at Mohali in Punjab by U.S. ambassador Nancy J. Powell as well as Mohali Industries Association president Anurag Aggarwal.

“The ABC in Mohali will act as a clearing house to connect its 400 member firms with U.S. companies interested in doing business," Powell said.

"The activities will include the dissemination of catalogues of U.S. products to potential buyers and the staging of workshops and seminars on topics ranging from trade finance to IPR."

The ambassador said he was “very enthusiastic" about ever increasing business ties between India and the U.S.

"Trade brings people together, creates jobs, and provides countless new opportunities for people in both of our countries.

"There is plenty of room for growth, and we need to see where both countries can best help each other. A healthy balance of trade between countries is essential,” he said.

During her two-day visit to Chandigarh and Mohali, Powell met members of the Haryana and Punjab governments.
