Audi and BMW have taken the wrestle to the race track and the world's biggest auto magazines, but a mid-2000's Santa Monica billboard skirmish directed to crank up the rivalry even further. The entire snarky affair began with an Audi billboard that jabbed fun at BMW's chess tournament. After BMW's reply it shoots up online, with Audi calling on its Facebook followers to come up with more slogans.
