Colgate a must household brand of tooth paste for many of its regular customer disappointed when it revealed its new ad. The ad portrayed a consumer buying frozen meal with a Colgate brand on it in 1982.
It suffered a huge loss of money as it had spent a large amount for its advertising campaign. But finally it failed to gain public interest rather had to face critics.
3. New Coke: With an attempt to bring a difference to it traditional soft drink, Coca Cola introduced a new formula in 1985. It created huge gossips as if it was a plan to rebrand its product as it was losing its popularity in comparison to another well known soft drinks brand Pepsi.
