First Job: House Painter.

JB Osborne first worked as a professional house painter. The person he used to work for didn’t have any brand name. Therefore he made him a logo using a clipart and Microsoft paint of a character carrying a brush and a paint pail and also had few T-shirts printed with the company name and logo. He had no idea at that point of time that brand consistency was in his DNA.

9. Eli Singer

CEO, Entrinsic

First job: Summer Camp Water Skiing Instructor

Eli Singer worked as a water skiing instructor at summer camps for kids aged 8 to 18. He said, “ I learned how to coach and motivate people to keep trying when at first they fail, and then to always push themselves to the next level, as well as the importance of celebrating success” as stated by Business Insider.  Eli Singer is the Founder and CEO of Entrinsic, a digital culture agency based in Toronto. Before Eli started Entrinsic he worked in Segal Communications who are the Canadian representatives for Facebook.

10. David Lai

CEO, Creative Director and Co-Founder, Hello Design

First Job: Software developer

David Lai first got a call for a summer job from Connectix when he was in high school. His job included designing of the user interface for the first software utility for Mac PowerBooks. According to David the lesson that he learned was that the most important factor of any job is not the place or company, it is the people whom we work with. David is a strong believer of the ideology that great ideas can come from anywhere and everywhere.
