The way a young mind can think is very much different than any other minds. Their vibrancy of thinking can even change the nation.

Rediff has cited names of some of the young Indians whose foresight has made big difference. Here is the list of 10 such leaders.

1. Vikram K Akula
Founder, SKS Microfinance.

Having the tags of Tufts University, Yale University and University of Chicago with his name, Vikram K Akula could have easily chosen the path of making easy money. But his keen interest on improvising the pooper section of society made him to found SKS Microfinance in 1998.

SKS Microfinance is one of the fastest growing microfinance organizations in the entire world. It provides financial help to the poorer section of the society. Starting from agriculture, livestock, vegetable vending, pottery, beauty parlors and many more, SKS finance provides loans to all the sections.

SKS have offered loans to more than 1,500,000 women in India with near about $550 million (Rs 2,200 crore). It also provides interest free loans for emergency purpose and the ‘Ultra Poor Program’.

Prior to founding SKS, Akula was working as a management consultant for McKinsey & Company and has an experience of more than 10 years.
