Bangalore: The key to success for any company depends on the way it serves the customers. Reliability, trust, service, quality, work environment, etc. are some of the factors that are building blocks of any company’s reputation.

‘India times’ has listed out 10 most reputed companies in the U.S. as reported by ‘Harris Interactive’ in a survey. This survey was done on 60 U.S. companies from various fields of specialization.

10. Costco Wholesale

James (Jim) Sinegal and Jeffrey H. Brotman founded Costco Wholesale on September 15, 1983 in Seattle, Washington. It is a membership warehouse club that deals with good for sale.

It is considered to be the first ever company that grew to $3 billion within 6 years.

Last year, Costco Wholesale became the fifth largest retailer and also the largest membership warehouse club chain in U.S.

This year, it has been ranked as the tenth most reputed company in the U.S. It has a very warming reputation with the customers.

9. Procter & Gamble

After William Procter, a candle maker and James Gamble, a soap maker married two sisters from the same family, they became business partners and Procter & Gamble was founded on October 31, 1837.

It was placed in the fifth position of the ‘World's Most Admired Companies’ list and was on the fifteenth slot in this list in 2012.

This year has been lucky for P&G. Its quality service and trust from the customers has brought it to the ninth place in this list.

1: I believe the survey could be wrong. Not sure how the brand PEPSI got omitted. If should take atleast the 4th or 5th place.

Thanks,
Josh
