Malnad College of Engineering (MCE), Hassan, was established during 1960, in the later part of the Third Five Year Plan, as a joint venture of the Government of India, Government of Karnataka and Malnad Technical Education Society, Hassan. The college is a reputed institution in the country. It has been awarded the Best Engineering College award by the Government of Karnataka. Currently the college conducts nine Under Graduate courses and six Post Graduate courses with more than 3000 students studying in various disciplines. The department of M.C.A was established in the year 1988. It offers a 3 years full-time MCA programme which has an intake of 60 students.
