The Department of Computer Applications was started in the year 1986 under the initiative of the Department of Electronics, Government of India. The department offers three-year full-time MCA program, which focuses on providing sound theoretical background as well as a good practical exposure to the students in the relevant areas. The selection of the program is through an All Kerala Common Entrance Test. The syllabus for the program is revised once in every five years in tune with the industrial requirements.
