About Vivekananda Degree College, Bangalore
Vivekananda Degree College was established in 1982 and is affiliated to Bangalore University. Vivekananda Degree College was adjudged as 'the 4th Best College in Bangalore', by the survey conducted by the National English Weekly 'India Today' in 2003. The campus is located in the heart of the city and is about 5 km from Bangalore City Railway Station and Bus Stand. The college runs several degree courses in Electronics, Computer Science, Arts, Science, Commerce and Management. It also runs post-graduate courses in Economics and Business Administration. The college has got 100% Results in MBA and 95% in BA Course.The results in other courses are also good.The faculty members are well qualified, experienced and motivated. Eighteen faculty members hold Ph.D. degree and Twelve faculty members hold M.Phil degree and do research for Ph.D. degree. Prof. M.Govindaiah is the Principal of Vivekananda Degree College.

Eligibility
Graduation in any discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate score. Candidates appearing in their final year graduation examination are also eligible to apply. Student must appear for MAT /GMAT which is ‘All India Aptitude/Entrance Test (as approved and Directed by Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India)’ and submit the photocopy of Score Card along with filled Application Form


Placement Cell:
We believe in ‘‘Education should offer practical results”. Our college endeavors to find excellent opportunities for students. We have a computerized database of all the companies to be targeted for campus placements, the alumni database and the profile of our students have already been prepared.
Reputed companies have recruited our students in the past. The Placement Cell arranges final placement as IT professionals with renowned national and international companies through campus interviews of the final year students. Training assignments are arranged for the first and second year students to prepare them for the upcoming placements.

There is a seprate placement cell which takes care all the recuirtment of our student.
