Gitarattan Jindal Public School, Co-ed, Senior Secondary (Recognized and Affiliated) was started on 2nd May 1988. The School has carved a niche for itself in education firmament of Delhi.
IN 2009
Prestigious MBA (International Business) Part Time course introduced with an intake of 60 and the intake of MBA (FT) increased from 90 to 120.giBS shed its entire UG course. Despite of economic slow down and large number of organizations closing their doors for fresh recruitment and resorting to issue pink slips to the existing staff, it was heartening to have over a dozen of companies visiting the institute and over 80% students placed in reputed organizations.
In GIBS there is emphasis on imparting the application of class room knowledge to the students. For the all round personality development, and imbibing good values in them, the institute has MOU with 'AuthBridge', who conduct personality development classes for our students.
We are also providing our students opportunity to learn foreign languages like French. Besides the class room lectures and lab sessions, we have seminars, conferences, analysis of case studies, workshops, industrial visits and lectures from eminent personalities from the corporate sector.
Number of industrial visits are organised every year to enable the students to get a first hand feel of shop floor conditions and discuss activities and experiences with the junior managers on ground. The institute also encourages students to participate in debate competitions, quiz competitions, sports and cultural activities.
Programmes
Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a two-year full time Business Management programme designed to prepare young aspiring graduates for a promising and bright career as management professionals. It caters to the contemporary needs of the industry by incorporating best practices of business schools. The programme comprises of total four semesters (two in each academic year) each of 18 weeks duration.

APPROVAL & AFFILIATION
The two-year MBA programme conducted at Gitarattan International Business School is approved by “All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)”, Ministry of HRD, Government of India. The norms and standards as laid down by the AICTE for the quality, viz. Infrastructure, faculty, computer hardware & software and library etc, are followed by the Institute. MBA programme, approved by AICTE, is conducted in two shifts, namely, MBA (First Shift) and MBA (Second Shift).
The Directorate of Training & Technical Education (DTTE), Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD) has granted “No Objection Certificate” for conducting MBA at the Institute. For the award of degree, the Institute is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi; a Category “A” NAAC accredited State Govt University. INTAKE AND RESERVATION OF SEATS
AICTE approved intake for MBA (First Shift) is 180 and MBA (Second Shift) 120. The reservation policy of Govt of NCT of Delhi is applied for allocation of seats to various categories. The reservation policy stipulates 10% seats for “Management Quota”. Out of the remaining 90%, 85% seats are reserved for Delhi candidates and 15% for outside Delhi candidates. Further reservation for specific categories is as per the guidelines of Government of NCT of Delhi.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
The eligibility criteria for the admission to MBA programmes are:
Any recognised Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
OR
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technology or any other subject with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or any qualification recognised as equivalent thereto with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
OR
Passed the Final Examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or England, the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or England or the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE
The admissions are carried out strictly on merit basis through a Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. For general and reserved categories, the University conducts central counselling for all the colleges affiliated with it for 90% seats except for management quota seats. Students are required to choose the college/institute during the counselling. For application forms the students are to respond to the advertisement by the University or its website www.ipu.ac.in. The Institute conducts admission for 10% management quota seats as per the guidelines by Government of NCT of Delhi.
EXAMINATION AND EVALUATION
To implement the “Teaching-Learning” process for MBA programme the Institute follows the curriculum laid down by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. The examination and evaluation is carried out according to the scheme laid down by the University. Every paper is of 100 marks. In every paper for 60% weightage, the evaluation is done through Term End Examination conducted by the University; and for 40% weightage it is carried out through internal/continuous evaluation by the respective faculty within the institute. The internal evaluation is conducted on the basis of written tests, presentations, assignments, seminars, projects etc.
The degree of MBA to successful students is awarded by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi and is recognised by the UGC/AICTE.
