Agni College of Technology (ACT) was established in year 2001 by Sri Balaji Charitable and Educational Trust with the objective of producing high quality engineers and technocrats.

The management has also taken all efforts to build a team of committed teachers who form an integral part of the college in its growth. The college is approved by AICTE, New Delhi; Affiliated to Anna University of Technology, Chennai and Accredited by National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi.
