For the past few years, real estate industry globally has been experiencing one such revolution - prefabricated houses. With cost and time benefits, this industry is highly leveraged by several business houses, and even public figures like actors amongst others, thus driving the demand further. No bonus for guessing that the golden years for the prefabs has just begun. According to a recent market research report by Technavi, the global prefabricated construction market is expected to grow at a CAGR of around six percent during the period 2018-2022. Freedonia further predicts that in 2020, shipments from U.S. producers of prefabricated housing are expected to reach 123,500 units, valued at $7.3 billion, while the demand for manufactured housing (the largest segment of the prefabricated housing market) is forecast to reach 85,000 units in the same year. It further states that the demand for other prefabricated housing types, including panelized, precut, and modular housing is projected to grow 5.6 percent per year through the forecast period. With benefits extending beyond the normal cost and time benefit, the prefabricated housing will also make a huge societal impact by providing low-cost emergency accommodation, particularly for homeless people across the world. Robbie Antonio's Revolution Precrafted is one of the emerging global player in the prefabs space globally. Under his guidance, the company has been working with the world's top designers to put together the most number of prominent names to craft the widest collection of precrafted structures that could cater to any location, function and taste. We have featured his story in `Revolution Precrafted: Re-Shaping the Prefabricated Home Concept'.
