Beyond the often-cited increase in requests for evidence (RFEs) and application denials, 34% of employers reported a lack of transparency as one of their biggest pain points in the immigration process, up from 25% in 2019.Contemporary immigration to the United States, with upwards of one million new arrivals per year, is not exceptional. In fact, the relative share of immigrants--about 13 per cent--is a bit lower than the 14 to 15 per cent that characterized much of American history. The U.S. has always been on the top of immigration matters, and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has proposed to raise immigration and naturalization fees charged by USCIS. Although the ongoing pandemic has impacted the move, DHS is expected to implement a new fee schedule with sweeping changes. Moreover, employers are looking to provide foreign nationals with the stability and security that comes with permanent residency, particularly in the face of political uncertainty. This year, 71% of employers said their company had sponsored a foreign national for permanent residence before, up from 66% in 2019.Our editorial board at SiliconIndia has analyzed the most popular trends of the year to assist industry leaders in manoeuvring in the right direction when adopting immigration services. We have filtered out the companies that genuinely set themselves leagues apart, and strive to not only outperform the rest of the pack but also solve pressing challenges prevailing in the industry. Please, let us know your thoughts.Helping Manage the Complexities of Immigration*Some of the Insights are based on the interviews with respective CIOs and CXOs to our editorial staffsiliconindiaCopyright © 2013 siliconindia, Inc.
