As President George W. Bush makes his maiden visit to India this month, more American Corporations are likely to see India in a different light; business economics will be the primary driver for relations between the two democracies. Going forward, companies across the U.S. are more likely to focus on improving their bottomlines by offshoring every possible component of their business.

Trends point out to the growth of offshore infrastructure management. In this issue, we talk to the Chennai (India) based Sify, the leader in remote infrastructure management. Several corporations in the U.S. have cut their infrastructure operational costs substantially by embracing offshoring. We also delve into the network space and map out the changing landscape.

Extrapolating on the cost savings, for every dollar spent on a software product, ten times the amount is spent on services around that product. While it is almost impossible to alienate the service component, Piyush Gupta, CEO of Exeros Software promises to substantially reduce the service component in the data integration space.
