Vivek Sharma has recently been appointed as the Chief Marketing Officer for Philips India. In his new role, Sharma will be responsible for the overall performance of the company’s marketing organization in India. He will be in charge of the development and execution of an integrated strategy for brand development across the various business sectors. One of the main thrust areas will be in the marketing organization capacity and capability building. He will also be responsible for translating and bringing to life the global brand promise of ‘Sense and Simplicity’.

Prior to working with Philips, Sharma was with Mirc Electronics as VP - Marketing and Sales. At Mirc he spearheaded the relaunch of the Onida brand across product categories. He has also had stints at Cadbury’s, Warner Lambert, and Ogilvy & Mather Advertising where he was working as the head of Unilever business in India.
