SI Team
Tuesday, August 4, 2015
On July 8th, the White-House honored nine individuals for the Precision Medicine 'Champions of Change'. Anish Sebastian, an Indian-American entrepreneur was one among the nine honoraries to be recognized for making a difference in transforming the way we improve health and treat disease. A graduate of the University of Maryland with a B.S. degree in information services, Sebastian is the CEO and Co-founder of Babyscripts Inc., a leading mobile therapeutics company in pre-natal care. Sebastian led his firm raise two million dollars in capital to develop and clinically validate the first of its kind risk stratified approach toward pre-natal care and commercialized its product in multiple markets. An advocate of the consumer healthcare revolution serving as the lead organizer of the Quantified Self group in Washington, D.C., Sebastian leads the effort in establishing and growing the quantified-self movement in the Washington metropolitan area.

The Precision Medicine initiative launched earlier this year aims to enable a new era of medicine through research and technology that empowers patients, researchers and providers to work together toward the development of individualized treatments. Sebastian's Babyscripts Inc., walks the path of this initiative. Babyscripts empowers patients and allows providers to truly personalize care to each of their patients. Capturing weight, blood pressure, and app data allows Babyscripts providers to appropriately tailor the way they deliver care to each of their patients.
