Yesware secures $4 Million in Series A Funding

Yesware, the service that helps salespersons make more money, has secured $4 million in the series A funding, led by IDG Ventures. The seed round investors Google Ventures, Foundary Group and Golden Venture Partners also participated in the current round of funding. Yesware plans to use the funding to expand its product team, grow its integration with CRM systems, and broaden its platform reach.

Co-founded by Rajat Bhargava, Matthew Bellows and Cashman Andrus in 2010, Yesware is an email service that helps salespeople closes more business. Integrated into Gmail, it provides email tracking and analytics, customizable sales templates, CRM integration and more to help salespeople communicate with customers more effectively. CRM Syncing connects sales email to solutions from Salesforce.com, Microsoft Dynamics, and many others to save time and improve the quality of enterprise data. The company's Reports and Analytics give salespeople unique feedback about how their messages are being received.

Sales managers who deploy Yesware to their teams see activity-based reports that reveal a new level of performance detail without relying on additional data entry. Yesware's collaboration features enable salespeople and sales managers to share the most effective templates with their colleagues.

Since its launch, Yesware has grown to serve more 40,000 employees around the globe and is growing as an integeral component in sales organizations. Available initially for the Chrome browser, this month Yesware added Firefox support. Also the top priority for the new funding will be to expand to Outlook as 95 percent of the salespeople use Outlook.
