Various companies wage code brawls or Hackathons as a fun yet productive means to stimulate the minds of employees in their campus. It's a tug of war between employees parsing codes, like fashion mavens parse their fabrics. Ravi Jain, the CEO of Technijian, has conjured a spin-off of these code fests in his IT company. "Instead of competing against each other, I challenge my engineers to solve a client problem faster than me," says Mr. Jain in a voice echoing with pride and responsibility. Keeping the whole ballgame simple, Mr. Jain adds, "If they are taking more time to complete the task, it means they need to do their homework." Such challenges hosted by Mr. Jain helps him keep his workforce at the frontline of cloud era. "The bigger the knowledge curve in the cloud space, the stronger the bridge we can build between the public and local cloud", adds Mr. Jain on his company's mission. As a cloud integrator, Technijian has developed a solution that provides clients with the benefits of both public and local cloud.

The faceoff between public and local cloud has bewildered the business world for so long. It's like a Democratic and Republican Party showdown; throwing their promises and sweating to prove their competence in managing the system. Public cloud allows organizations to transform their capital expenditures into operating expenditures. "So now you don't have to invest money upfront, which can be used for R&D, sales or for driving business value," says Mr. Jain. "But on the flip side, it becomes difficult to pull the information out from the public cloud." This is where the pendulum swings back to the local cloud, which offers full control over the data by giving users their own version of applications. Local cloud is a robust option for companies rolling their dice in a compliant environment, but it falls short when it comes to managing large projects and keeping the cost marginal.

Finding the Common Ground

Technijian has found a common ground between the public and local cloud; made from the fabric of software defined network (SDN) technology, SDN provides the layer of security over the private cloud, to liberate IT teams from the "panic attacks". Technijian's private computing solution, My Cloud, a cloud integration platform, assists clients as per their priorities with a reliable level of support. "Any organization, big or small, can use our services, our infrastructure, Google and Office 365 applications, and more to leverage the cloud computing package that meet their needs," says Mr. Jain. My Cloud covers a wide range of services from virtual private server hosting, email encryption services, secure fax services for regulatory compliance clients to disaster recovery and on-premise image based back-ups. In addition to these, the private cloud platform offers a complete network in the cloud with VPS services and virtual offices for mobile clients.

My Cloud is known for its flexibility and scalability. In the world of web 2.0 dominated by "everything-as-a-service", we are building web 3.0 thorough My Cloud. "Some customers want just hosting and some performance monitoring to enhance their client experience quotient. Whereas, some users demand content delivery network along with performance monitoring and web hosting together," explains Mr. Jain about the variance in the cloud market. "We tailor the cloud platform with traits that meet the requirements of our clients," adds Mr. Jain.

My Cloud has an impenetrable layer of security that keeps the threats outside of the perimeter. "We offer audit compliance to our clients where the security is a paramount," says Mr. Jain. Earlier, to perform auditing, organizations used to buy servers, a physical space for installation, put an electronic lock, and keeps an escort log to keep track on the traffic. It's a costly and time consuming process that hardly gave any satisfactory results. "Our My Cloud, backed by SDN, eliminates all these," says Mr. Jain. Technijian provides a virtualized server to control every step, which reduces the hefty price tags of the traditional equipment, and gives a compliant and secure environment to process auditing.

To keep the environment safe is no less important than signing a billion-dollar deal for small scale companies, for whom data and its security is everything. Unlike large corporations that has numerous layers of security-if one fails, another takes over-small companies cannot afford the luxury of multiple mechanisms. But with Technijian, the goals that seem far can be achieved in quick succession. "We provide SMBs the same level of cloud security, auditing, application website development and more, as possessed by large enterprises.

The Craft of Client's Support Engineer

Organizations, irrespective of their sizes prefer a partner who has a business oriented outlook. This is the reason Technijian has customers from all industries and geographies. "We parse the business world to create our differentiating factors and foster our business value propositions," says Mr. Jain. It's a common view for consumers witnessing indifferent responses from their IT vendors. "A company facing downtime due to virus attacks has to wait for long hours until the system is healed; and we don't like downtimes," says Mr. Jain. In such cases, Technijian saves its customers from downtime by replacing all the infected computers with the robust ones- until the company removes all the viruses from the systems. "We ensure our customer's business is always up and running," adds Mr. Jain.

How a company carves a different path from others boils down to whom it gives the wheels to do it. It's a norm in the business world to hire the best; experts in Windows, Linux or CCNAs. But there are only good inside the bubble of their competence. To build a team, which can win any fight, Technijian has created an army of "client support engineers"-who remain business oriented and answer every query. "So, if a client is facing a firewall issue, networking issue or windows server issue, our client support engineers can solve any challenge," prides Mr. Jain. These engineers support clients across all their facets; helping complete projects within time and budgets.

With their workforce and cloud platform, Technijian is making inroads into industries such as hospitality, retail, legal, and healthcare. Technijian's solutions enable clients to bring down the cost for setting up phone lines, especially for hospitality management. The company has created VoIP PBX systems that include concurrent call pads moving all the lines to the cloud. It allows clients to access unlimited number of call connections in the cloud and save investment on phone lines. Technijian also helps business owners with their auditing software that runs on PCs. The software takes snapshots of computer screens to monitor internet, email and search activities so that the businesses owners know how their employees are using their computers.

Technology as a Solution

Technijian was founded with a slogan "technology support your way", which carried the mission statement of the company-to develop solutions driven by the customer requirements. Over the past decade, the company's services grew to include; support, development, online services, cloud services, internet marketing, and finance. Today, with the changing demand of customers, Mr. Jain is transforming Technijian into a "Technology as a Solution" company.

With this 'Technology as a Solution' philosophy, Technijian is looking forward to deliver solutions, which will help organizations of all sizes to leverage the different aspects of cloud without jeopardizing their business values.
