Dell to ramp up R&D operations
World’s biggest computer maker, Dell has geared up to expand its team in Bangalore. Currently housing 300 engineers at its center, “the company would double the figure by the year-end,” says Vivek Mansingh, Country Manager and Director.

The Bangalore center is the largest outside the main facility in Austin, U.S, and marks Dell’s excellence in enterprise solutions and products.

Ybrant launches in Hyderabad
Ybrant Technologies Inc., an e-Marketing solutions company that delivers support services and software tools for enterprise e-Marketing has opened its new office in Hyderabad. The company, at present has employee strength of 175. The latest facility is expected to accommodate over 400 people across three shifts.

“We are experiencing strong sales, thanks to the phenomenal growth of e-Marketing across the globe. This new and modern facility will allow us to address the staffing needs,” says Suresh Reddy, the company’s Chairman. The company has 140 customers including Yahoo, CapitalOne, Vayan Marketing, AdDynamics and SEOInc.

Esolutions starts India operations
Esolutions, a provider of business software has kicked off operations in India. The company that specializes in web and portal development, eCommerce, database management, GIS, eLearning, integrated graphic design and strategic marketing is likely to operate with associates.

The company’s business partners would promote 3e, the flagship product of Esolutions to recognized key markets. 3e helps access information on diverse business procedures anywhere and at anytime. Targeted at the key decision-makers of an SME, it facilitates the right to use to key information to make sophisticated decisions.

Applabs sets up new facility at Hyderabad
Applabs Technologies, a software testing and development services company, has set up a new facility in Hyderabad, with a capacity of 500 people. The company has expanded its facility to fortify its testing practices business.
Applabs is expected to raise its headcount by 600 employees by the end of this year. Shashi Reddy, founder and CEO of Applabs says, “The global software testing services market is on a growth curve, and AppLabs is strongly positioned to capture a substantial portion of this opportunity. The latest expansion is in line with the strategic focus we are taking to meet the growing business.”

Mu Sigma to invest $5M in India
Mu Sigma, a Chicago based analytics services company said it will invest $5 million in India over the next 18 months. The company will double headcount and create a state-of-the-art facility that can accommodate 250 people, said Dhiraj Rajaram, CEO and founder.
“Our mission is to help client partners deeply embed the use of sophisticated quantitative techniques on their data. Our scientific community, which consists of practioners form leading educational institutions in the U.S. enables us to deploy cutting edge analytics for our clients cost effectively,” he said. He also said over the next three years, Mu Sigma would build a 500 person organization that will serve about 15 clients. Each of these clients will have a unit of about 30 analysts who will form an offshore analytics center of expertise.
