In an era of multi-national enterprises and mobile workforces across global geographies, the need to track and manage the lifecycle of identities (employees, contractors, third-parties) accessing your premises and restricted areas has become of paramount importance. To address this need, Quantum Secure, founded in 2005 and leader in physical identity and access management (PIAM) discipline had launched its enterprise suite of products in 2008.

The company’s SAFE Software Suite is a leading software solution suite for managing identities and provisioning access in physical security infrastructure. Customers include Oracle, General Motors, United Health Group, British Telecom, AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Airports such as Toronto, San Francisco, Phoenix, Federal agencies such as the U.S. Department of Energy, Health and Human Services, Interior, FDA, etc. and Adobe Systems, AMD, Juniper Networks, Symantec Corporation to name a few.

“SAFE software suite was designed to connect incongruent physical security, IT and operational systems and to automate manual error-prone security processes in order to trim down both costs and risks,” says Ajay Jain, President & CEO, Quantum Secure. As part of the suite, Quantum Secure has created a host of applications that help automate physical security system functions, such as physical identity management, role-based access, self-service administration, audit, attestation and compliance management, identity/event correlation and reporting into a single Web-based interface that is easy to manage and use.

The company has a strong foothold in providing industrial solutions in fields such as Aviation, Energy, Petrochem/Oil & Gas, Healthcare, Technology and Telecom.

Analysts from research firms such as Gartner, Forrester, Hunt BI and Imperial Capital have endorsed the company’s approach and its PIAM suite. A recent survey from the CSO magazine to over 100 medium and large sized organizations revealed that vast majority of respondents (over 80 percent) are convinced with the importance of PIAM and the ability to correlate physical identity & access data with specific events taking place in the organization along with synchronized on-/off-boarding of an identity from the authoritative data source.
