On Trac to assessment
ST Team
Friday, June 1, 2007
Rock music lover Biju Zachariah likes to shift from one industry to another every six to seven years; a trait reflective of the restless energy characterizing rock bands.

Zachariah, who now moves into skills assessment company Merit Trac as the Vice-President of Sales (IT/BPO) says, “By the time I complete 35 years of my career, I should’ve worked through five-to-six different sectors.”

Zachariah moves into Merit Trac from a seven-year stint in Sify, where as VP-Enterprise Application, he had seen the process through a 75 percent growth in the last fiscal. “The entrepreneurial spirit within the company (Sify) is worth emulating,” he says a tad reflectively.

The 39-year-old canny corporate salesman moved to Merit Trac ‘for the chemistry I enjoy with the company’s directors’. He believes that as the Indian economy grows, propelled by IT and ITES, skills assessment will become a key area, his passion for mentoring will only make him busier. Leaving time for some weekly golf sessions of course!
