Offtrack Raj Jaswa - Selectica
Friday, October 1, 1999

Before co-founding Selectica, Raj Jaswa served as President of OPTi, Inc. Earlier, he served as Marketing Manager of Chips & Technologies Inc. (later acquired by Intel Corp.). Jaswa has a BS in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, an MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto, and an MBA from Stetson University.
Drives: “A silver 1997 BMW 750il. You see, at Selectica, we had been hoping to get BMW as a client. But my wife and I said, hmmm, maybe we should buy the car first. We bought the car, and BMW did become our client, and our biggest one at that!”

Wishes he could drive: “A BMW Motorbike. But I'm worried about what my 19 year-old son might do if he got his hands on it, so I'll hold off on that for now.”

Latest vacation: “I took my wife and two sons to Europe. While I was there TiE was hosting an international branch meeting at the home of the Honorable Apurv Bagri, son of Lord Bagri, the only British Lord of Indian origin. It was wonderfully authentic, a beautiful home located in Regents Circle area in London. We spent ten days traveling through Europe, from London to Paris to Vienna, Munich and Lucerne. It was great!”
