Growing business multifold

After being in the industry for thirteen odd years and having stints at various organizations such as, Sanjay Dutta has recently joined Quantum as the India Country Manager.

Prior to Quantum he was serving as Country Manager for Blade Servers in IBM India’s x-server division and was there for eight years, his longest stint at any organization. He also considers it as the major turning point in his career as the term at IBM gave him the opportunity of working with a global major and to lead a particular product line at the global level.

At Quantum his roles will be quite different, as he would be leading an entire organization which, unlike IBM, still has a long way to go. His challenge would be to grow the business multifold with the small pool of resources he currently has.

Dutta believes that taking risks, maintaining a good relationship with peers, being a team player, and taking complete ownership of his work has helped him attain success, and advises the same to young technology professionals.

A graduate from Delhi University, Dutta has also taken up numerous management courses. He describes himself as an absolute fun and sports loving person and loves spending time with his family. A music freak, he is passionate about Bengali and old Hindi songs. In leisure, Dutta loves traveling, explores local sites, and visits wildlife parks.
